6th ISTAA Conference closed its deliberations

Budapest hosted the worlds sports travel agents association ISTAA.
6th Annual General Meeting of members affiliated to the International Sports Travel Agencies Association was held on 17th of November in Budapest. Zbigniew "Zebby” Wrobel from Club Sport Travel Poland was re-elected as President of ISTAA.
Past period has been contentedly summarized and cooperation during the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games and FIFA 2014 has been discussed on many levels.  This year is event was held under the slogan “Professional values & ethics of  sports travel the basis for ISTAA Members success”. The meeting was opened by President Zbigniew "Zebby" Wrobel, who summed up ISTAAs activity so far in his welcome speech. He emphasized fast development of the organization in terms of the number of members and a significant increase in membership and business cooperation. Dr. Istvan Simicsko -  Hungarian Minister of State for Sport & Youth Affairs  and Ms.Gabriela Tilaji - Sales Manager Hungaroring were the guest speakers. Networking part of the meeting was an opportunity to set many of organizational issues, to enhance cooperation between the members  of ISTAA and to discuss the future of the organization.

One of the main item on the agenda was new President and Board of Directors election. By the decision of the general assemble, Zbigniew "Zebby" Wrobel from Club Sport Travel Poland was elected as President for the fourth time. To the New Board of Directors entered: Marco Mazzi - Tre Emme Viaggi Italy as Vice President , Christoph Breuer- VIP Sport Travel Switzerland, Yoav Bruck - ISSTA Sport Israel, Nazeer Camaroodeen - FLI Afrika from South Africa, Eva Gazova - Stars & Friends Slovakia,  Wim Jansen - Emboost The Netherlands,  Balazs Kamuti - Pegazus Sport Tours Hungary, Africa and Pavle Markovic Ban Tours from  Croatia.
Presidents exposé pointed out the main objectives and directions of association and expectations of its members. The meeting ended with a gala dinner, which took place on Primus Boat Restaurant on Danube river. This years meeting of members has been successful thanks  to the  attendance of nearly all ISTAA members.
International Sports Travel Agencies Association ISTAA registered in Zurich, according to Swiss law focuses 70 members in 40 countries on 5 continents, brings together leading professional travel agencies specializing in sports tourism, service of sports associations and National Teams. ISTAAs mission is to develop and secure sports travel, promoting a positive image of sports events and to support ISTAA members business on a reciprocal basis. ISTAA has the intention to be a partner, and an expert for the World Sports Federations, 
in particular, FIFA, UEFA, IOC, FIBA, FINA, IHF etc.
