The meeting for easier future of ISTAA member's life
Mr. Zebby Wrobel, The president of ISTAA met Mr. Martin Kallen ,Operations Director UEFA Events on February 3rd.
This meeting took more than 1 hour. Cooperation between ISTAA and UEFA looks good and will develop.
Mr. Wrobel presented the mission of ISTAA and then gentlemen discussed the following tasks:
- Possibility of the cooperation in terms of future UEFA events worldwide
- Joint promotion of a friendly image of football games and giving publicity to safety solutions on stadiums;
- Changing the social structure of travelling sports fans, promoting football not only as a pretext for an occasional trip, but also as a frequently recurring, traditional family & friends event as well as a reason for prestigious travel.
- Creating a new audience structure by promoting the development of “high class” segments of sports travel traffic (family groups, promoting your UEFA hospitality packages);
- Developing a “niche” sector of travellers by promoting sports events as exclusive trips.
- Cooperation on airport and airline overweight and seating issues.
- Cooperation at UEFA organized events in ISTAA members countries.
- Cooperation in obtaining tickets for big events for ISTAA Members.
Mr Wrobel established very friendly relations, Mr Kallen became very open and gentlemen agreed to meet frequently and discuss topic by topic . The real success is that Mr. Kellen suggested to send the list of the members and UEFA ( UEFA EVENTS) will use this list as the base for any cases and projects related to travel/touroperator programs/expertise etc.
It was done!, now we wait for next steps from UEFA.
